When I first met with this Client, she and her husband did not exactly see eye to eye about their window. She wanted privacy. He didn’t think it was necessary. She wanted it to make a statement. He was perfectly fine with it the way it was.

We talked through a lot of different options and landed on Wood Blinds for the warmth and privacy she was looking for. Then came the fun part — making a statement. Because this was an Eyebrow Window, we had so many possibilities. Should we go above the arch? Below it? An arched Valance? Panels? Two Panels or four? Short rods or a long one all the way across?
We decided on four Panels — much more dramatic!! — on short rods at different heights to create even more impact. Every single decision intentional. Every single detail considered. On Installation day, the husband was home. The wife was not. He left us to work and went about his business.
When we finished the room, he walked in behind me.
And then — loudly — he said:
“HOLY $@&*#!!”
I’m thinking: I really hope that’s good... 😄 After a long pause: “That looks incredible!! I didn’t understand why my wife wanted Window Treatments — but now I totally get it!!” He proceeded to stare at them for about fifteen minutes. Then he followed us to the next room where we were installing Valances and kept talking about how much he loved everything. I think we found ourselves a new Window Treatment convert.
And that — right there — is exactly why I love what I do. 💖
