Bedding and Window Treatments — The Secret to a Pulled-Together Bedroom

Here’s something I feel strongly about — your bedding and your Window Treatments don’t have to match perfectly. But they absolutely need to go together.


At minimum, I always want your Window Treatment fabric somewhere on your bed. Even if you have existing bedding you love, we can make a pillow or two in your treatment fabric that ties everything together beautifully. It’s the thread that connects the whole room and makes everything feel like it belongs together.


Whether you do your bedding and Window Treatments together or at different times, everything should always look like it was part of one beautiful plan from the very beginning. That’s the goal. That’s always the goal. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๏ปฟ

Tip — A fully coordinated look where everything is in the same fabric is absolutely an option if that’s what you love — and some of my Clients do!! But a beautifully coordinated mix is just as stunning and often more interesting. The key is making sure everything speaks the same design language, even if they’re not saying exactly the same thing. ๐Ÿ’–

I once had a Client who absolutely loved the wife’s bedroom at the Biltmore Estate. That was her dream — that feeling of grandeur and elegance right in her own home. Her budget was different. Her home was different. But her dream? We made that happen.

  • How long does Custom Bedding take?
