When you call to schedule your Signature Design Experience, my team will get everything set up for you. And then — before I ever knock on your door — I’ll call you personally. Just fifteen minutes. Just friendly, no tests. ๐

Your Signature Design Experience
This is where the magic begins — right in your own home.

And then I show up ready. We start with a tour of your home together. We talk about the rooms you want to do, look at pictures, and talk about style. I ask questions and I listen carefully — because everything I’m learning is going straight into those 100 decisions I’m already making for your home. By the time we’re ready to look at fabrics and samples, I’ve already curated everything around you — your home, your style, your vision. You’re never going to feel like you’re drowning in options. That’s my job, not yours. Once everything is chosen I’ll give you complete pricing right then and there — one clear number for your entire project. Everything needed to create your fabulous Window Treatments is included. No spreadsheets, no line items, no surprises. Your initial investment gets us started right then and there — and then the real magic begins.

The Craft
This is the part most people never see. It's my favorite part to talk about.
The moment your order is placed, everything starts moving. Exact yardage for every fabric and trim is carefully calculated. Your fabrics, trims and hardware are ordered. Detailed work orders are written up for my talented artisans — exact specifications for every single Window Treatment, every piece of bedding, every accessory. And then — quietly, carefully, beautifully — the making begins.

One Valance can require anywhere from 14 to 26 individually cut pieces before it even begins to look like a finished treatment. Every single piece cut with intention. Every single seam considered. That's not unusual in our workroom — that's Tuesday.

Every fabric that arrives is checked for flaws before a single cut is made. If your fabric has a pattern — a flower, a bird, a stripe, a geometric — someone in my workroom is spending real time deciding exactly where that pattern lands on your treatment. Which flower appears at the center of your Valance. Whether the pattern repeats across sections or alternates for a more interesting look. Every single decision made with your specific fabric, your specific window, and your specific home in mind.

This is not something that happens at a big box store. This is craft. Every treatment uses premium linings — always, no exceptions. Interlining is added when the fabric or the window calls for it. Weights are sewn into every Panel so they hang exactly the way they should. Nothing is forgotten. Nothing is left to chance.

The Part We Lose Sleep Over
Here’s something most people don’t know — and something I think matters a lot. Before my Installers ever arrive at your door, every single piece of Decorative Hardware is checked and accounted for. Every bracket. Every finial. Every component. I want to make sure everything is exactly right before we show up — because the last thing I want is a surprise on Installation day. With Lady Dianne’s, we do everything in our power to make sure there won't be one. ๐
A Quick Word About The Unexpected
We’re all human — wonderfully talented, deeply experienced humans — and occasionally things don’t go exactly as planned. Hardware or fabric gets delayed. Sometimes a fabric we both fell in love with gets discontinued. Oh dear!! I won’t lie — that one stings a little for me too. ๐
But here’s what I know after 32 years — it always works out for the best. Every single Client who has had to reselect a fabric has told me they ended up loving the new one even more than the original. Every single time.

Your Installation Day
"When everything is ready — Installation is scheduled. I come with my Installers. I tell them exactly what we're doing and what I'm looking for. I'm there for any questions that come up so you never have to think about a single thing. Every treatment is installed exactly the way we planned. Every detail checked. Every finish considered. The hardware that was inspected before we ever left goes up exactly the way it should. And then we step back.

The Reveal
When your before becomes an after. This is my favorite moment of the whole process. The moment you walk into the room and see it for the first time. The moment everything comes together exactly the way we imagined it — or better. And it is almost always better.

How long does the process take from our first appointment to Installation day?
Every project is unique, but here’s a general idea of what to expect. Custom Draperies, Panels, Valances and soft treatments generally take 6 to 8 weeks. Custom Blinds and Shutters generally take 4 to 6 weeks. Custom Bedding is generally 8 weeks. Keep in mind that timeframes can vary — especially around the Holidays!! Once you place your order we will give you a personalized timeframe so you know exactly what to expect. And if you have a specific date in mind — a party, a holiday, a special occasion — tell me right away and we’ll do everything we can to make it happen. ๐
What happens after I place my order?
Everything starts moving right away!! Yardage is calculated, fabrics and trims are ordered, exact specifications are written up for every single treatment, and detailed work orders are sent to my talented artisans. I track every single order from the moment it’s placed — so if anything needs attention you’ll hear from me before you even have a chance to wonder. ๐
Do you use quality linings and materials?
Always!! Every treatment we create uses premium linings — no exceptions. Interlining is added when the fabric or window calls for it. Weights are sewn into every Panel. Everything is pattern matched. What if something gets delayed or a fabric gets discontinued?
It happens occasionally — and when it does I’m already on it. You’ll always hear from me first. In 32 years I have never had a Client who didn’t find something they loved just as much — or even more. It always works out beautifully. That’s my promise. ๐
